$ 269.00

The OM1212 Lamp/Pushbutton Panel provides a flexible and cost-effective alternative to expensive hard-wired indicator lights and pushbuttons. The panel features 12 user-legendable high intensity LED light bars and 12 user-legendable pushbuttons. Each of the lamps can be individually controlled to be on, off, or flash. Each of the buttons can be individually configured to operate as either a momentary or alternate-action pushbutton.

Lamps and buttons can be custom labeled by the user with plastic label inserts. The inserts can be custom legended with text and/or graphics, and slipped into a protective pocket behind the faceplate.

The OM1212 Lamp/Pushbutton Panel is part of Optimation's OptiMate® series. Each OptiMate® module is designed to connect to a microprocessor or most PLC's with a single cable connection. OptiMate® modules can be used individually, or together with any combination of other OptiMate® modules.

When used with a microprocessor system, simple communications over either an RS232 or RS422 communications cable allows the microprocessor to directly control each lamp and read the state of each button.

When used with a PLC, operation is transparent to the user. Lamps and buttons appear in the PLC ladder logic as coils and contacts. The OM1212 takes care of the rest.

Direct Connect to PLCs top of page

OptiMate® modules connect and operate directly with most major PLCs. A simple cable connection allows the PLC to access each button directly simply by reading bits in data registers. Everything else is totally transparent.

PLC Multi-Modules top of page

The OptiMate® series provides the means to construct large custom panels with standard building block modules. OptiMate® modules can be grouped together or separated by up to 4000 feet. Any combination of operator panels can be incorporated into a system.

Microprocessor-Based Systems top of page

OptiMate® modules connect to any computer or microprocessor-based system through a serial link. Either RS232 or RS422 communications can be employed. The microprocessor controller simply polls for module data or sends module commands to completely control the operator panels.

Legending the Buttons top of page

Legending the OM1212 module involves simply sliding legend transparencies in two pockets in the module overlay. The bezel can be removed from the front of the module as shown on the right. Once this is done, legend transparencies can be placed in the pockets in the overlay (behind the lexan surface layer).

A legend transparency can be created by a number of methods. Computer graphics programs combined with overhead transparency paper and a laser printer and/or copier produce excellent results. Other options are listed in the OM1212 data sheet.
